I am the sole-owner of, and lead photographer at, Vivid Photography LLC. After traveling and photographing the world for 10+ years, I fell in love with Maine and recently moved here with my husband and two dogs to start this photography business.

My style focuses on natural-light, environmental photography, which features the relation of my subject/s to their environments. I care about creating a personalized experience that speaks to and about you. This means that every photo-shoot will include a free consultation (in-person or video/phone) to get to know you, and I will try to make sure your photographs shows who my subject is. This could translate into a graduation photo that includes your son or daughter sharing their favorite hobby with me, or your pet sharing their favorite toy with me.

This also tends to create a more genuine experience, with less posed expressions. It underlines my focus in creating a stress-free environment. Most people I have worked with tell me before-hand that they usually feel awkward or are “unphotogenic”, but are quickly put at ease with this style of photography. While I will help guide you to help create the best photographs possible, there will be less posing and holding forced smiles, and more fun!

I have spent most of my professional life working in international security and emergency management, which means I am level-headed, organized, and I tend to help reduce jittered nerves. That said, I am very fun-loving and created this company because of my passion for capturing special memories. With two dogs, and a large extended family, I love kids and animals and am comfortable working with both! I am hands-on and don’t mind getting my hands dirty. If the best photograph requires climbing to a higher elevation, or crawling on the ground playing with your kids/animals, that’s where I’ll be.
